45. Ponti’s

Hi!

After walking around in the sun for a few hours last wednesday, Sara, Elin and I got really hungry, so we ended up at a really cute Italian restaurant in Regent Street called Ponti’s. I’d never heard of it before, but the food and place looked nice so we took a chance, and we didn’t regret it.

The place was so nice and the waitress we had was super lovely, and the food was delicious. I ordered a chicken and pesto pizza (I never really eat pizza except if it’s Domino’s haha) and it was soo good. Sara had a chicken and Elin had lasagna, and they weren’t dissapointed either, and the prices weren’t too bad, so I’d definitely it.

44. Primrose Hill

Hello!

Primrose Hill is a park in the Primrose area, where you can see most of central London if you’re standing at the top of the hill. The park is a part of Regent Park, and it’s not very big, but nevertheless it’s a very cute park. I think most people go there to look at the view, and luckily the sun was shining when we were there so the view was amazing.

43. Primrose Bakery

Hi!

If you ever visit the Primrose area, you have to visit Primrose Bakery. It’s the cutest little café, and their cupcakes are so good. Elin, Sara and I went there the other day, and I had a latte and a chocolate cupcake and it was soo good. If you don’t like cupcakes, the place in itself is worth visiting, purely based on the look of it. The outside is bright yellow, they’ve got really cute and pastel pink signs, and the atmosphere in there is lovely.

42. Primrose

Hello.

Wednesday was an amazing day in London. The sun was shining and it was almost 10 degrees, so I didn’t want to spend the whole day inside. Elin, Sara and I decided to go to Primrose and Primrose Hill for a walk, and I honestly think that people gets a lot nicer and happier when the weather’s sunny. People were smiling and running and being generally lovely, and we were enjoying our day in the sunshine.

Primrose is such a pretty area, with loads of cute houses in different pastel colours. The main street is also really nice, with cafees, pubs and shops in all different colours and sizes. This is quite an expensive area, but I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was really relaxed and nice. We also went to Primrose Bakery for a cupcake, and to Primrose Hill, but pictures of that will come in another blog post.

Oh how I wish I could’ve lived here..

41. Afternoon Tea at Liberty

Hi!

Afternoon Tea is such a british tradition, and being as touristy as we (read:my brother and my dad) are, we wanted to do it before they left. My dad’s an arcitecht so he’s obviously very interested in architecture and buildings, so I wanted to show him Liberty. It’s such a cool building, both inside and outside, and the stuff they sell is really nice as well, at least most of it!

Cafe Liberty serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as afternoon tea from 3pm on weekdays. We had a shared “Afternoon Tea” that included tea, sandwiches, scones and cakes, and as well as that we ordered a delicious carrot cake. As I don’t drink tea I had a latte, and a pressed apple juice, and let me tell you, that food was good.

You can have afternoon tea at lots of different places around London, both at hotels and some cafés, but I would definitely recommend the “Cafe Liberty”, it was delicious!

40. Jamie’s Italian

Hi!

I’m a sucker for italian food, and Jamie’s Italian is on the top of my list of italian restaurants in London. I took my brother and my dad there the Sunday they were here, and they absolutely loved it too. The prices there isn’t too bad, the atmosphere in the restaurants are so relaxed and cool, and obviously the food is amazing! I had a pasta bolognese and a really nice cheesecake with meringue. Here’s a tip for you if you ever go there: get the green olives. They are sooooo good.

39. Harry Potter Studios

Hello!

On Sunday my dad, my brother and I went to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour, in the Leavesden Studios. Let me just tell you one thing, if you’ve never been and are a fan of Harry Potter, you NEED to go.

I absolutely love Harry Potter and especially the films, so actually seeing where a lot of it was filmes was really interesting. What fascinates me is how much work, both before and after the actual filming, goes into a 2 hour film. Especially with films like Harry Potter where there’s so many special effects, I find it really hard to comprehend how much work goes into it.

Walking around the sets, seeing the costumes and hair, and also props as the Knight Bus and The Privet Drive houses was really, really cool. Bottom line here is, if you have a chance, you have to visit the Harry Potter Studios.

38. Sake No Hana

Helloo!

On Saturday my dad, my brother and I went to Sake No Hana, a Japanese Restaurant in St. James’ Street. It’s a restaurant owned by Hakkasan, and it’s an amazing restaurant. The food is delicious, and we all had a 3 course meal. I started with salted Edamame, followed by some amazing sushi. My favourite was definitely the tempura maki, with prawns. For dessert I had a really weird but delicious panna cotta, with berries and meringue.

As well as the food and the staff working here being great, it’s also a really cool place, so I would definitely recommend going there. It’s expensive though, so it’s deinitely not very student-budget friendly haha!

How cool does this look? And how delicious does my dessert look? All the other food was so good that I forgot to take pictures of it before it was gone..

37. Family Comes To Visit

Hi there!

This weekend my dad and my brother came to visit me. They arrived early Saturday morning and left late last night, meaning that I had 3 whole days with them! It was soo nice seeing them again, and we did loads. On Saturday we went to Chelsea for lunch, then we walked around and I showed them the typical touristy bits (Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Big Ben etc.) and then we went for dinner at a really nice Japanese restaurant called Sake No Hana. On Sunday we went to Harry Potter Studios and oh my gosh it was so cool, before we had dinner at Jamie’s. Their last day was spent walking around a bit more, popping into Selfridges and drinking afternoon tea at Liberty. I’ll do a few more detailed posts about the different restaurants we went to with pictures and everything. I want to apologize in advance for the quality of the photos posted, I forgot my camera so everything is taken with my iPhone..

Having them here and just being with them has be so lovely, and I’m really excited to see them again soon for easter break. Love you Daddy and Isak ❤

36. Big Ben

The typical touristy buildings in central London never fails to amaze me. Yesterday my friend Chelsea and I took the tube down to London Eye and then decided to get lost. We didn’t want to have a specific destination, we just wanted to get lost and walk around in central London, and so we did. I’ve just got a few really shitty iPhone photos but I guess that’s better than nothing..

I’ve just booked my flight back home for easter, since they’re quite hard to get a hold of the day I want to go home, and next weekend my dad and my brother comes to visit. I’m so excited to see them!!
