9. Uneventful week

Helloo!

I’m sorry I haven’t put a new post up for a few days, but to be honest I don’t really know what to blog about. This week has been very uneventful and full of university stuff. I’ve been reading a lot of articles for my different seminars and I’ve made cauliflower soup for dinner (which btw was amazing mum!). I’ve done my washing, but I haven’t really done anything interesting. There was a halloween party at the local pub yesterday, and we were a big group of friends who went and it was loads of fun, but I’ll tell you about that later. I don’t have any specific plans for tonight, and I’m quite happy about that.

8. The X Factor Live Shows

Helloo!

Yesterday was probably (to quote my best friend) “the best Sunday in the history of Sundays”. I met up with a few of my friends from back home, who’s also studying in London, because we were going to the X Factor Live Shows! I’m the biggest X Factor nerd and I’ve been watching it for so many years, so the fact that we were actually going to see it live was very exciting. We were extremely lucky and got picked out of the queue (God knows why!) by a guy working there and were put right in front of the stage. We were literally sat right behind the judges and my goodness it was the most exciting night of my life.

During the breaks we got to chat with Dermot (who btw is hilarious), and we even talked to Simon, Cheryl, Louis and Mel B. Cheryl’s definitely one of my girl crushes, and she’s even more beautiful in real life. I don’t know why we got picked out of all the people in the queue, but I’m so thankful we did!! Oh and all my faves got trough, so the night literally couldn’t have been any better. Oh London, I love you.

7. Hampstead Heath pt.2

Helloo!

As you know, Elin and I went to Hampstead Heath yesterday and walked around for a few hours. After our feet were tired of walking, we were hungry so we ended up eating lunch in an italian pizzeria. Tonight I’m going on the x factor live shows and I’m so excited about it! Ed Sheeran is performing and we get to see Simon and Cheryl in real life as well, woo! Hope your having a great Sunday!

– I absolutely love autumn because of it’s pretty colours –

6. Hampstead Heath pt.1

Helloo!

When talking about London, most people usually think about the shopping, the food and the London Eye, but London’s got so much more to offer. One thing people should know about is all the amazing parks. Today Elin and I ventured off to Hampstead and Hampstead Heath. Hampstead is one of the nicer areas in London, and you can definitely tell by looking at the houses around here, and the cars! I brought my camera and I took so many photos, so I’m gonna divide it into two different blog posts, or else this post would be waay to long!

5. Autumn in London

Hellooo!

Today has been another uni related day. I had a three hour seminar from 9 am and then another workshop for two hours, and now I’m sat in my room reading for tomorrows seminar. I’ve made pasta and swedish meatball for dinner (yumm) and I’ve got my blanket and ikea slippers. I don’t really know what to blog about since I haven’t really done anything special these last days, but one thing that I actually have done is putting up some pictures of family and friends, finally! My room is a lot nicer now and I’m so happy I’ve finally got them up there.

bilde(1)– Please excuse the bad quality, this photo is taken on my phone, but I just thought I’d show you how pretty my uni looks at the moment, with all the colourful leaves –

4. Ikea slippers and boring Tuesdays

Hellooo! Tuesdays are my lecture-days. Teaching at university is divided into three different “sections”, lectures, seminars and workshops. I’ve got all my lectures on tuesdays, and then I’ve got seminars and workshops the rest of the week. Right now I’m sat in my room, waiting for my next lecture at 2 pm, and after that I have some reading to do. In other words, my tuesday is not very interesting. There’s pretty much a storm in London today, the wind is soo cold and loud. That resulted in me waking up really early, so before my first lecture, my morning consisted of my amazing Ikea slippers, breakfast in bed and some reading. 211014– The Ikea slippers. They’re probably my best buy ever and they’re literally the softest thing I’ve ever felt in my life – Anna xx

3. An introduction?

Helloo!

Maybe it’s time for me to actually write something about myself on here, since I’m actually doing this whole blog thing now. My name is Anna and I turned 20 a few weeks ago. I’m norwegian, I grew up in Oslo and I’ve lived in Oslo my whole life, but at the moment I’m studying in London. Being in London is great, and there is something new and exciting happening every day, I love it here. I moved here only a month ago, so I haven’t done too much exploring yet, but I love the places I’ve actually gotten to see.

After High School (or upper secondary school as they call it here) I took a gap year. I started working full time in a huge shoe store, which at the time was my part time job, and started saving up money. My best friend and I were planning to travel around Asia for three months, so late december we packed one backpack each and travelled all the way to India. Throughout those three months we visited India, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia and Singapore, and it was the best three months of my life. I learned so much about different cultures and it was so fascinating how different that part of the world was compared to the one I’m used to. I also learned so much about myself and I would definitely recommend travelling to everyone I know. My only problem now is that I want to travel more and see more of the world, I never want to stop seeing new places. Luckily I’m in a new and exciting place right now, and I’m experiencing something new every day.

2. Covent Garden

Hi!

Since the weather today has been sunny and lovely, my friend and I decided we wanted to go to Covent Garden. Covent Garden on a sunday is probably not the best idea if you don’t like crowds of people, because I think every tourist visits Covent Garden for lunch on a Sunday, and especially if the weather is nice! We went for lunch and just walked around, and I finally found a nice winter coat! I’m so happy, it’s been so hard finding one I like and at the same time actually warm enough to use during the winter here.

I’m a sucker for macarons, so while we were in Covent Garden we obviously had to go to Laduree and get some. I’ve never had one before, but let me tell you, those macarons. They are amazing!! Now I’m sat on my bed chilling before it’s pizza night with the x factor.

1. My first blog post?

Hiya!

This is my first post, and it feels a bit weird to actually write a blog post. I’ll take the whole introduction and explaining about myself in another post, but first I wanted to tell you what I did on saturday. My best friend and I met up for lunch and we ended up in Bella Italia and let me tell you, the lasagna there is delicious! If you’ve got the chance you need to try it.

After eating too much we decided to walk around and just explore the city, and we ended up in Selfridges. That place is so huge and pretty, but what fascinates me the most is that they’ve already put up their christmas store, in October!! There were loads of christmas lights, pretty decorations and christmas lights and it made me even more excited for christmas! I can’t wait for Winter Wonderland, walking around with hats and gloves and woollen jumpers and something hot to drink. Can you tell that I love christmas? Haha. After walking around all day and having dinner with my cousin, I was so tired so instead of going out I just went home. DSCF1035Anna xx
